Blind spot detection is the use of sensors or cameras to identify relevant people, vehicles, or objects in areas that are difficult for an operator to see.
The method must suit the visibility limitation. A camera can provide recognition from an additional viewpoint but requires visibility from that camera. UWB can supply proximity information between compatible devices without visually recognizing a person; surrounding materials and radio conditions can still limit performance.
Trio Mobil combines supported AI and UWB applications to address different coverage needs. For example, an equipped forklift and a tagged worker approaching opposite sides of a rack end can meet configured proximity conditions where the radio installation provides coverage. Suitable route design and travel speeds remain part of the control arrangement.
