Existing Camera-Based Monitoring

← Back to Industry Terms

Existing camera-based monitoring is the use of an installed camera network for observation, recording, or supported analytics.

Reusing cameras can extend the value of an existing installation when the cameras provide suitable views and compatible video access. Camera position, resolution, lighting, connectivity, and system compatibility must be assessed for the intended monitoring task.

AI Risk Radar can analyze supported existing CCTV feeds together with forklift-mounted AI cameras and fixed TRUE-AI footage. For example, a camera overlooking a crossing may support configured interaction analysis. Additional viewpoints or equipment may be needed where the existing view does not cover the relevant risk.
