Trio Safe AI is Trio Mobil’s multi-layer forklift safety solution that combines AI-powered visual detection with UWB location and proximity technology in a single platform. It was developed as the first platform to combine AI and UWB location technology for forklift safety, enabling both tagless and tag-based pedestrian detection within the same safety architecture.
AI cameras can detect pedestrians and other relevant hazards visually without requiring a wearable tag, while UWB provides precise proximity awareness for equipped pedestrians, forklifts, and vehicles. Together, these complementary technologies help improve coverage in blind spots, intersections, high-traffic areas, and other complex industrial environments.
When a risk is detected, Trio Safe AI can support real-time operator and pedestrian alerts, smart safety zones, and automatic forklift slowdown, depending on the vehicle and site configuration. Event data can also be analyzed to identify near-misses, recurring risk patterns, and SIF exposure, supporting continuous safety improvement.
