FORKLIFT & PEDESTRIAN SAFETY

How does Trio Mobil address forklift blind spots and intersections?

← Back to Forklift & pedestrian safety

Trio Mobil helps reduce risk at forklift blind spots, intersections, obstructed corners, rack aisles, doorways, and other high-traffic crossing points by combining UWB proximity detection, AI-powered pedestrian and vehicle detection, smart safety zones, and real-time intervention.

UWB can detect equipped pedestrians, forklifts, or other vehicles approaching a high-risk area, while AI cameras can identify pedestrians and vehicle activity in defined zones, including where direct operator visibility is limited. When a hazardous interaction is detected, the system can trigger in-cab visual and audible alerts, pedestrian warnings, warning lights, projected safety signs, or zone-based speed controls.

Where vehicle integration is available, Trio Mobil can also automatically slow a forklift before it enters a blind intersection or restricted zone, reducing reliance on operator reaction time alone.

Beyond real-time warnings and intervention, Trio Mobil can record near-misses and recurring risk patterns at specific intersections or blind spots, helping EHS teams identify high-risk areas and continuously improve traffic flows, zone configurations, and preventive controls.
